Wright Stain solution according to Wright Sigma 32857
Application
Wright stain solution was used during the exudate analysis of white blood cell concentration.1
General description
Wright′s stain solution is commercially available and is generally used in hematology. The procedure of making it includes heating methylene blue with sodium bicarbonate, followed by combining the mixture with eosin. It is an alkaline solution; hence its concentration is continuously changing, owing to the progressive oxidizing action of the alkali, therefore Giemsa′s stain is added to preserve the azurophilic properties of the polychrome dyes.2
