- Производитель: Sigma
- Каталожный номер:
R5500 - CAS номер : 9001-99-4
Analysis Note
Protein determined by E
RNase A purity determined by SDS-PAGE
Features and Benefits
• RNase protection assays
• Remove unspecifically bound RNA
• Analysis of RNA sequences
• Hydrolyze RNA contained in protein samples
• Purification of DNA
General description
Ribonucleases do not hydrolyze DNA, because the DNA lacks 2′-OH groups essential for the formation of cyclic intermediates. RNase can hydrolyze RNA from protein samples. Pancreatic RNase A specifically cleaves at the 3′-side of pyrimidine (uracil or cytosine) phosphate bonds.
Packaging
1 g in glass bottle
100, 250, 500 mg in glass bottle
10 mg in poly bottle
Preparation Note
A further chromatographic purification of R5503 to yield essentially pure RNAse A
Derived from New Zealand-sourced pancreas
Application
Ribonuclease A is used to remove RNA from DNA plasmid preparations and protein samples. It is also used in RNA sequence analysis and protection assays.
Ribonuclease A is used to remove RNA from DNA plasmid preparations and protein samples. Ribonuclease A is used for RNase protection assays, to remove unspecifically bound RNA, analysis of RNA sequences, to hydrolyze RNA contained in protein samples, and the purification of DNA. Ribonuclease A from bovine pancreas has been used in a study to determine that both PDI and PDIp can attack the native disulfide bonds in thermally-unfolded RNase and form stable disulfide-linked complexes. Ribonuclease A from bovine pancreas has also been used in a study to investigate the stepwise deamidation of ribonuclease A at five sites.
